Museum Exhibits

Mount Vernon George Washington Museum - Mount Vernon, Virginia

This museum conveys richness and quiet solemnity in a simple fashion; worthy of the father of our country. This museum primarily consists of casings to house personal objects once belonging to George Washington and his family.

The eloquent look of this museum was achieved through custom built cases that were painted and then lined with deep colored suede fabric. Silk-screened panels were used for item identification while each casing provided security, built in preservation mechanisms and just the right lighting to announce the internal subject area.

U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum - Washington, DC

The intent of this highly emotional and extensively informative exhibit was to highlight Anne Frank the Writer, An Unfinished Story. Through the point of view of Anne Frank and her family, the original diaries that left Holland for the first and only time, are displayed here in Washington, DC. Color-Ad not only continues to be honored in being a part of this intense project but we successfully exceeded the challenge of graphically describing their life responses to race, religion and ethnic group discrimination, exclusion, persecution and sometimes even murder.

Cherokee Heritage Center - Trail of Tears National Historic Trail - Tahlequah, OK

The designers of this progressive Cherokee National Museum exhibit wanted the visitor to empathize on a human level with the Cherokee who endured the Trail of Tears. Visitors can view historically and culturally significant artifacts and artwork as well as learn about the journey of the Cherokee and four other tribes through the Trail of Tears exhibit permanently housed in the National Museum. It begins with the social sophistication of the Cherokee, then leads to the brutal injustice of their banishment and "death march 1000" to where the museum stands today.

Manassas National Battlefield, Henry Hill Visitor Center - Manassas, Virginia

As this exhibit hits very close to home, the events of the second Battle of Manassas in the US Civil War took place on the actual grounds of the Visitor's Center.

By detailing this unique exhibit, Color-Ad created a highly customized ten foot tubular artifact case to house a Civil war soldier's VMI cadet uniform. The 360 degree viewing is unique by having its own custom engineered sealed door for security and accessibility. This is one of the many “one of a kind” displays we have engineered that can set you apart from the rest.
