Ben Reifel Visitor Center Exhibits - Badlands National Park
Color-Ad, Inc. is thrilled to present the award of this rich exhibit with a purpose of detail, fabrication, delivery and installation. With a strong emphasis on Geology, Flora and Fauna, Color-Ad, Inc. was chosen for technical ability and history of intricate detail in working with the National Park Service.
The project consists of dioramas (a recreation of life like environments), mock-up platforms, a three dimensional (3D) topographical map, interactive audio and visual graphics to enhance artifacts in custom built casings. President Franklin D. Roosevelt established Badlands in 1939 as a scenic and scientific value to preserve. With 244,000 acres of formations blending with mixed grass prairie and wildlife, half of the acres were once part of a bombing range located on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation used by the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a training area for pilots. This project is slated for a fourth quarter 2005 completion.
