Color-Ad, Inc. is Awarded the Largest Display Case Job in the Entire U.S.

Historic Jamestowne is the site on Jamestown Island, Virginia where the first permanent English settlement in North America was founded in 1607, essentially becoming 'America's Birthplace'.
The Archaearium at Historic Jamestowne is a new museum facility which will display archeological collections relating primarily to the ongoing excavations at the nearby site of the original 1607 James Fort. It will focus on exhibits pertaining to the first settlers at Jamestowne and their way of life.Color-Ad, Inc.'s scope of work will be to provide 31 customized exhibit display cases with color matched carpeting and fabrics, sophisticated audiovisual technologies, and specialized electrical & lighting techniques to best enhance the visitor's viewing experience.
The Visitor Center portion of this project features a new 19,000 sq. ft. facility whose purpose is to improve the overall quality of the visitor experience, while deeply enhancing research and educational opportunities.
Color-Ad's role in providing this fulfillment will include the supply and installation of 26 customized display cases, high-resolution digital graphic panels, murals & interpretive exhibits, artifact displays, & model reconstructions. Specialized ca
rpet, tiling & painting techniques will be utilized to enhance the overall immersive effect. Also housed in the center, Color-Ad will build a massive 98 seat circular theater featuring sophisticated audiovisual technologies, and specialized lighting techniques to intensify the total viewing experience.With the upcoming international commemoration in 2007 of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Jamestown Colony, the new exhibits promise to engage the visitors with a broader and deeper understanding of its rich heritage.
